This Privacy Policy explains how Qingdao HanMi Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. (“we”, “us”) collects and processes personal data when you visit this website or send us an inquiry. We are the controller responsible for that data.

1. Who we are

2. What we collect

• Inquiry data — the company name, contact name, business e-mail address, telephone number, product interest, material, quantity, tolerance and message you submit through our forms, any files (drawings, models, specifications) you attach, the IP address the submission came from, and the date and time the inquiry was sent. The IP address is stored so that we can recognise and block automated abuse of the form.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type and the pages you request, recorded in server logs for security and troubleshooting.
• Consent record — your cookie choice and the time you gave it.

We do not knowingly collect data from children, and we ask that you do not send us special-category data (for example health data).

3. Why we process it, and on what legal basis

• Answering your inquiry and preparing a quotation — necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Performing and administering a contract — necessary for the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Security, fraud prevention and system integrity — our legitimate interests in protecting the website and our business (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Optional cookies and third-party embeds — your consent, which you may withdraw at any time (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
• Statutory bookkeeping and export records — compliance with our legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

4. Cookies and third-party content

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. A cookie (or an equivalent entry in your browser storage) is used only to remember your consent choice. The interactive map on our contact page is served by Google and is loaded only after you allow optional content or click the map placeholder — before that, no request reaches Google. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.

Where we enable an anti-abuse service (for example Cloudflare Turnstile) on the inquiry form, it is loaded when the form is displayed and processes your IP address and browser signals solely to distinguish humans from automated submissions. We will name the provider here before switching such a service on.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data only as far as necessary: with our hosting provider and e-mail service (processors acting on our instructions), with freight forwarders, customs brokers and payment providers to execute an order, with our accountants and auditors where legally required, and with authorities where we are obliged to respond.

Where a processor is located outside the EEA or the UK, the transfer is protected by an adequacy decision or by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses together with additional technical and organisational measures. A copy of those safeguards can be requested at [email protected].

6. How long we keep it

Inquiry records and attached drawings are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, so that we can pick up a project again and honour warranties. Files are then deleted automatically. Contract, invoice and export documents are retained for the periods required by Chinese commercial and tax law. Server logs are rotated after 30 days.

7. Your rights

Subject to the applicable law you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to receive the data you provided in a structured, machine-readable format. Where processing is based on consent you may withdraw that consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

To exercise a right, write to [email protected]. If you are in the EU or the UK you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national or regional data protection authority.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Drawings you upload are stored outside the public web space, are not reachable by URL, and can only be downloaded by authenticated staff members who need them to answer your inquiry. Access to project files inside the company is restricted to the assigned engineering team.

We update this policy when our processing changes. The date of the last revision is shown at the top of this page.
