Sales & Returns Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
This policy summarises how we sell, ship and handle claims for tools, dies and precision components. It is a summary only — the individual quotation and supply contract control in case of conflict.
1. Quotations and orders
Quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise and are based on the drawings, materials, quantities and tolerances supplied by the customer. If the specification changes after the quotation, price and lead time are recalculated. An order becomes binding when we confirm it in writing and, where agreed, after the down payment is received.
2. Prices, payment and taxes
Prices are quoted in the currency shown on the quotation. Unless agreed otherwise, prices are Incoterms 2020 FOB Qingdao; duties, import taxes and customs clearance at destination are the customer’s responsibility. Typical payment terms are 30% down payment with the order and 70% against the pre-shipment inspection report or copy of the bill of lading. For serial parts we can agree open account terms after a track record is established.
3. Lead time and shipping
Lead time starts when we have (a) the order confirmation, (b) the final released drawings and (c) the down payment. Delays caused by late drawing releases, late approval of samples or force majeure extend the lead time accordingly. We ship with the forwarder agreed in the quotation and provide packing lists, certificates of origin and inspection documents with each shipment.
4. Samples and first-article approval
Unless the order states otherwise, tools and serial parts are shipped after a first-article inspection. We send a dimensional report; where the customer requires physical samples, they are dispatched for approval before serial production begins. The customer is asked to confirm first-article acceptance within 10 working days; approval is deemed given if we receive neither acceptance nor a documented objection in that period and production must continue to meet the schedule.
5. Inspection on arrival and claims
Please inspect the goods on arrival. Visible transport damage should be noted on the carrier’s delivery receipt and reported to us within 7 days. Complaints about quantity, dimensions or surface finish should reach us within 30 days of arrival, with photographs, measurement data and lot numbers so we can trace the parts. We will have the claim verified at our plant or, where appropriate, by an agreed third party.
6. What we will do
If a delivered item does not conform to the agreed specification and the claim is confirmed, we will — at our choice and at our cost — repair the item, replace it, or issue a credit note for the affected quantity. Where the failure is our responsibility we also bear reasonable return freight. This is the primary remedy and applies within the warranty period agreed in the contract (typically 12 months for serial parts; tool life is covered as stated in the quotation).
7. What is excluded
- Wear parts, and damage caused by incorrect use, unauthorised modification, unsuitable storage, or operation outside the agreed parameters.
- Items produced to customer-supplied drawings that turned out to be incorrect or incomplete.
- Tooling that has exceeded the shot or cycle life stated in the quotation.
- Freight, duty or installation costs unless we expressly agreed to bear them.
8. Cancellation and returns
Because tools and machined components are made to order, cancellation is possible only before production starts; work already performed is invoiced. Returns require our written return authorisation and should be sent to the address we provide. Unauthorised returns cannot be processed.
9. Consumer sales
We sell to businesses. If, exceptionally, you buy from us as a consumer and you are resident in the EU, the UK or another jurisdiction that grants a statutory right of withdrawal for distance sales, that statutory right applies over this policy for standard catalogue items; goods made to your specification are excluded by law.
10. Contact
